Weekend Excursion

We took Andy to a local nature preserve on Friday. It was hot and a lot of the landscape was brown for lack of rain. There was lots of tall brush and we found a tick crawling around on Andy's head at some point. Ug. Ticks give me the creeps. Thankfully it hadn't latched on yet and we were able to flick it right off. We hiked around for about 45 minutes before calling it a day. Andy was rewarded with an ice cube (and a thorough tick check) once we got home.

    ticks are of the devil. as are fleas and mosquitoes. but just a bit more evil.

    I agree Jen! I wonder why the heck God saw it fit to create parasites. Have you heard of cymothoa exigua? It's so freaking creepy!
