Tim Burton's black and white stop-motion animated movie, "Frankenweenie," hits theaters nationwide today. How appropriate with Halloween just around the corner! The flick, about a boy who brings his dead dog back to life, is supposed to be a quirky parody of Frankenstein, the 1931 film adaptation of the Mary Shelley novel, and an homage to classic horror films of yore. I've read some mixed reviews so far but the quirky dark tone of the film seems right up my alley. Will I actually pay to see it in the theaters? Eh. Don' think so but I'll definitely check it out when it's released on DVD.

Check out the trailer here.
